Each October, Cadence fills a table at the Women’s Foundation of Colorado Annual Luncheon to celebrate women in the field of commercial real estate
Cadence is always seeking out ways to fight for the education, health, and financial stability of everyone in Metro Denver, with this year being no exception.
For the past several years, Cadence has supported the mission of the Women’s Foundation by purchasing a table of ten seats for fellow women in the commercial real estate industry, providing them with the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who want to make a difference in their businesses and communities.
This year’s theme is “Faster, Stronger, Greater” and will feature U.S. Olympian Allyson Felix. This inspiring woman is the most decorated track and field athlete in Olympic history. She also works hard as an advocate for women and mothers, using her voice to raise awareness around systemic inequalities that still persist today.
The luncheon will take place on Friday, October 14 at the Colorado Convention Center. This is the Women’s Foundation of Colorado’s flagship fundraising event, bringing in donations that will fund their important work in public policy and advocacy, grantmaking, and investing. We’re excited for this event to connect and uplift other women in our Colorado community.
This September: Women United Luncheon
In addition to our annual tradition at the Women’s Foundation of Colorado event in October, Kay will be attending the Women United Luncheon, hosted by Mile High United Way.
Mile High United Way‘s Women United is a Colorado-based organization that seeks to address the challenges faced by women and girls in our community today. Born out of a desire to uplift women through education, Women United first opened its doors in 1887, with this year marking the organization’s 135th anniversary. Each year the luncheon brings together powerful women that are thought leaders and change-makers in their local community to highlight the important role education plays in the lives of young women.
This year’s event will feature Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Ciara as a guest speaker. The event will also feature Sue Carver, the Frances Wisebart Jacobs Award Recipient who has spent decades fighting for issues like domestic violence, homelessness, and gender inequality, ensuring that women and girls are receiving the support and opportunities they need to thrive.
The luncheon will take place on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the Seawell Ballroom at the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Funds from this event will support the Women United Initiative which invests in high-impact programs and responds to emerging needs in our local communities.
Cadence’s Commitment to Supporting Women
Cadence has always been an avid supporter of women and the advancement of their careers. In addition to the Women United luncheon, Cadence actively participates in CREW, an organization that promotes the advancement of women in real estate through networking and knowledge sharing. Both organizations share a common goal of bettering the lives of women by providing resources, educational programming, and most importantly, a platform to bring attention to important issues.
Join us in October at the Women’s Foundation Annual Luncheon if you’re aligned with our commitment!
